Gwynn had kept Tim wandering the woods for most of the day as she had pointed out several things that she thought he would need to know. Okay, she had mostly done this so she could spend his last day with him and so she could also feel that he would be safe after he left Fandom.
She followed him into his room and fought back tears at how different it looked.
While he still had a bit of packing to do, he'd put it off as long as he could, everything had been cleared from his desk and dresser, and was already ready to go.
He was remembering how it looked when he'd first arrived. "Yeah," was all he could manage.
Gwynn fished out a necklace from under her shirt and pulled it over head. She handed the gold chain and pendant to him.
"It's the Hood family crest." She swallowed. "It's been explained to me that in your real time I've been dead for a very long time... I want you to have this."

"It looks so... empty," she whispered softly.

"I love you..." She swallowed. "If you're ever feeling alone... just remember that."

Should he say he loved her even if he wasn't sure it was true? Even if he suspected he was still in love with someone else?
He covered by kissing her again.

She kissed him back, running a hand through his hair as she did so.
