Puffin A1 Wed. Afternoon

After my earlier wanderings, I returned to my bunk, and found a postcard on the mattress.

I looked at the picture. Chinese countryside. T'ing. I debated not reading it.

"Dear Tim,

Your mother told me what happened, please write and let me know how things are.

T'ing"

That's it. no Love, no Sincerely, no Your Friend. Just, T'ing. Okay so it's a postcard, how mushy can those things be?

open for interaction. come prevent the emo outbreak

*blush*grin*

"Okay, well," he scooted closer and pointed at the moon, which was partially hidden by the clouds. "What do you already know about the moon?" he asked.

"It lights the way at night. You cannot do much stealth work if it's too bright. It causes changes in tides?"

Tim nodded. "Okay, well let's see...the moon and the Earth, they're both round. And the moon, revolves around the earth. And it doesn't give off it's own light, it actually reflects light from the sun." When the hell did he turn into Mr. Wizard?

"Oh, and it's entirely possible the church will not like things that you may learn in astronomy."

"Not that I hold much with what the church says, but why would they not like what I learn in Astromony?"

Tim thought for a minute. "Uhm, well as an example, in, I think the 1600's, a man by the name of Galileo will discover that the Sun, not the Earth, is the center of the Solar System. the church didn't like that because it contradicted what they said, that the Earth was the center of the Universe, and so they ex-communicated him. I think they even imprisoned him as a heretic." he looked at her.

"Did that make sense?" he asked. Acutely aware of how close he was sitting to her.
